The Beltane feeling is early this year and life is exploding.
Here are some things happening at my place…
Red- breasted grosbeaks have arrived and they’re frequently at the feeder with finches and sparrows.
These pink tulips I planted in the Fall have fully bloomed. To my surprise, they are low to the ground, reminding me of lotuses. I don’t recall the variety, but they are delightful.
A new woodpecker, who I’ve never seen before, is hanging out in the trees…
Daffodils coming to an end in the front yard…
Robins with their idiosyncracies…
Wild plums flowering in the old farm hedge..
They don’t make many plums, unfortunately. Or more likely, they swiftly get eaten by the birds.
But their blooms are a Spring delight.
Happy Beltane!
